Tic Toc Tach wiring? - 11/24/18 10:34 PM
For the harness... 4 connections. One to back of tach....one to fuse box. Other end one plug connector to the coil. There is a blade connector there as well.... where does it go...???
JMCFAN,
I bought an OER Tic-Toc tac and it came with no instructions, and has a gray wire with a connector to be run to the fuse panel. There is also two grounds, and one that is market āSā that that has an insulation washer under the blade connector, which I assume is the tach input...my dash was a real pain to remove!
I am going to replace the circuit board and a couple of switches while I am at it.
Do you have the original?
Regards, Mark

Yes it the original harness...
I think I have it. Blue wire...plug end to back of tach, other end to fuse box. Grey wire to tach...and through firewall to coil.
On my ā68 Super Bee schematic, it shows the grey wire going to the fuse block...please check your schematic.

I would think the fact that the grey wire has a firewall plug on it would make it the wire to the coil.

No. The Blue wire goes to the clock (stud). Other end of blue goes to fuse box constant hot. Grey to the tach (flat blade). Other end of grey to engine harness connection (coil).

I think the ground is through the body of the tach no other ground needed.
