Why not use the rusty 2 door as a parts car for the more solid 4-door?

I think Id drive or sell my clean 4 door and buy an amd floor for the two door.

He never said the 4-dr was nice, clean and solid. Just has a good floor. A lot more to a car than just a floor. Might just be a shell with no title or drive train.

I'm thinking after he strips 2 cars down and drills all the spot welds out to remove 2 floor pans, $500 for a new AMD full front pan will seem cheap in retrospect.

Not really. With the AMD pan you still have to drill 150 holes to plug weld it in.
