1969 rear seat emblem

Any trick to removing the chrome face plate emblem from the backing plate ?

I used a small drill bit to make holes at the end of 2 of the slots of the clip. I was then able to easily fold back the tab. I then re-installed the emblem in the clip and it held firmly.
