71 b-body vs ebody

Are the amd firewalls for a ebody close to the same on a 71-b-body ?
Wanting to delete the ac and change to a standard heater only firewall.
Are the top cowl the same?

A/C firewalls are the same. Non a/c walls are different.
Cowl top plates are different.

Will the amd non ac firewall they list for a ebody work on a bbody?

IIRC Goodmark has a non AC 71 B body lower firewall...

Sherman carries an AC 71 B body firewall, not sure if they have a non AC...check them out, why bother with the E body wall?

If you use an E body heater box. Heater core nipples are in different locations.

Was looking on AMD’s website and they listed nothing for the 71 bbody firewall, I’ll check Sherman out, really only need the right side

No one makes the 71-4 B body firewalls.
They market E body a/c walls and they are the same as 71-3 B body but they haven't done the research to know this. I have. 74 B is different.
For a 71-3 B non a/c wall, used is the only option.

I might have a patch piece for non a/c. I'll check.

Thank you, looking for a heater box too of course but mainly wanting to get the sheet metal work done on the car.

Interesting. What is different about the '74?

Pretty sure the shape of the mounting plate on the column is different - 73 same plate as 71-72 but uses the thick biscuit, 74 uses a different plate and a thin biscuit. Is 74 b-body the same all the way to 79?

Yes 74 and up has a larger steering column hole.
