charger cam sensor problem - 04/14/18 02:45 PM

HELP! 2008 Charger, 3.5L. The car will not start with the cam sensor plugged in. Unplugging it will allow the engine to start (long crank time, batch mode).
I've tried the original sensor and an aftermarket one, same symptoms.
Can someone enlighten me on what's going on?

How many miles? Maybe a suspect timing belt? I don`t know too much about it to help but I was just thinking out loud.

Tell us everything you touched. What was the reason behind the sensor swap also?

Replace it with a mopar brand sensor. There seems to be a lot of trouble with the aftermarket brands.

I took the intake off to replace the plugs. Gennie units, 165,000 miles. I got everything working (it was a tow in) but this weird sensor deal. going to the dealer on Monday to get the sync done.
