65 383 HP

i have a 65 383 block stamped hp and was wondering what year they started stamping hp on the blocks?tia

1965, should also have an "A" stamped on the pad.

1965 A
1966 B
1967 C
1968 D
1969 E

it is stamped A383 but it has the HP in the bottom right corner.my question is what year did they start the HP stamping?thanks

WRONG! A1961 300 engine has HP stamped it.

So was the 59 300E !

1959 300 has MR413 stamped on the pad. Does it have HP also?

The question was what's the oldest HP block that you have seen. The '62 was the oldest I had seen.
