1972 Demon with heater delete option.

Hello im thinking of deleting my heating system on my 72 340 Demon. I need pics of the factory firewall setup how the plate looks like covering the heater motor and the plugs for the heater core tubes. Also did the dash frame still have the defroster grilles installed with no tubes ?, thanks Moparts.

I don't think you could get a car without heat/defrost, in 1972, by law. Exception might be a car going to hawaii, or puerto rico.

or Mexico and farther South?

I know for sure you could get a 71 A body with heater delete if it was shipped to Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Mexico but i have idea on 72 A-bodys. I have several Mopar magazines and saved pictures or both 71s and 72 with heater delete so i know you could get it that way. Radio delete is far more common but rare as well, thanks for the responce guys.

While a high percentage of cars were equipped with one, Radios were always optional and additional cost. You cannot “delete” an option.

There was a heater delete option available after 1968 as a dealer installed pkg. I saw a A12 RR that had one.

A car with heater delete will have special vent boxes under the dash instead of the regular heater box. I have a '67 Belvedere II, heater delete (and radio option not selected ). I also have a '68 V200, no radio
