Brake lines - 02/24/18 03:51 PM
I'm looking for a few tips on brake lines...mostly removing them without breaking or damaging them....as I have already done. I also need some tips on bending and flaring them...before I do more damage.

On flaring, it is best if you remove the ridge inside the tube caused by your cutoff tool before you start the flair. Also, make sure the end of the tubing is flat and square, not tapered from the cutoff tool. A file works well for that. I also lightly lube the end of the tube before starting the flair. Good luck. All it takes is a bit of practice and you will get to be a pro at it.

Use nickel-copper brake lines to make your life easier and your lines corrosion resistant.
