What drums and shoes?

71 Demon with an a body 8 3/4 converted to big bolt pattern. Do the backing plates need to be changed also? Of course all the parts houses are trying to give me narrow shoes and sbp drums. Parts numbers would be appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, you'll need backing plates that match the BBP drum you're using. Part numbers will depend on the diameter/width of the drum.

How was it converted? just redrilling the flanges won't cut it.

If you cutdown some BBP axles to A body length then any BBP b plates/drums/shoes (10 or 11") assy will work for you. if that ain't it holler.

I hit the U Pull it and looked at trucks with 8 3/4 they had plenty with 10" and 11"
I grabbed the backing plates. Got all new hardware, Cylinders etc. I jusy told them what year truck. The 11" were bolt on
