Removing K-Frame/Engine from Bottom - 69 Dart - 12/06/17 04:12 PM
In the process of removing the k-frame/engine/trans from the bottom. Can I use the ends of the bumper brackets as the lifting point to attach the hoist? Will they support the weight?
Thanks

have done what you describe however I used two bits of angle iron instead of the bumper brackets with a bar joining the two together with lift point centred, not a lot of weight after motor trans and front end is unbolted.

I think you would want to put something in-between them so they don't pinch together.

Good point Neil. My plan is to bolt a 2 x 2 x 1/4" square tube to the front of the brackets.

That should work. Bumper brackets should be more that strong enough to lift the front end up.

Get the rear tire off the ground also 6 to 10 inches you will not have to lift the front as high
