Throttle Cable Help

Throttle Cable Help - 02/09/05 12:03 AM

I saw a site that listed Chrysler part #'s that were supposedly still good at the local dealership for different length throttle cables. I have looked and looked and can't find it again. Does antone know where it is or where I could get this info. Know where I could get a cable made???? I have a 64 Fury with a 440 and a Performer RPM manifold. I have the taller cable bracket which lines up nicely with the carb but makes the stock cable way too short. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

You probably need a cable with a round metal fitting at the fire wall. I am guessing at about 24" long? Pioneer part number CA-8418 is what you need. It's about $18-$25 at any Carquest auto parts store or from www.partsamerica.com

The version with a snap in square plastic clip for the firewall is CA-8411, 23" long.

Thanks Andy, or I should say thanks to the boss for the use of the plastic!

That's pretty much what the Lokar cable is, with fancy ends to make it easy to connect it to the carb.
