You will have to have the tool to avoid breaking the bearings.

Keep um straight, mark the oil holes so they will line up correctly. OOPS sorry read it wrong. I agree you will need the tool. It is hard enough even when using the tool.

I bit the bullet and just bought the tool.

It will likely get used quite a bit over the span of my life so it seemed like a good purchase.

That and I agree, I do not know how you will get it in there without it....

If this is a one time deal it will be much less $$$ to have some one do it.

The tool will come in handy for other operations . I use mine for doing bushings in auto and manual transmissions also .

Do a search for "lisle 18000" on the Google and check pricing. I was looking a few weeks ago and found a place that had it for $111.00 vs nearly $200. This is the same model I rented to install my bearings, it works fantastic. It pays to shop around.

It's a bit pricey & you might not use it too much but it's a must have when you R&R those bearings & maybe your parts house rents one which would be the better way to go money wise or if you buy one rent it out to your buddies when their turn comes.

Hey double R, I never thought about using it for the front pump/extension housing bushings as I had always farmed that out to the trans shop, no mas
