Chrysler techs, please help.....97 Sebring - 02/27/09 02:02 AM

Been working on a 97 Sebring 2.5 V6 that has had some issues. First we tuned it up and had to replace the EGR valve, then it was the transmission ECU and now code P0134. So, we replaced the 02 sensor in first bank and also in bank two and still have the code. There is an 02 sensor betweeen the two, however the code keeps saying bank one. I'm at a loss, please help.

Does the code tell up if it up stream or down stream?

P0134 is bank 1 sensor 1 stays at center
Bank 1 on a 2.5 is the rear bank, and that is the Upstream sensor
Usually a "stays at center" code is either a completely dead sensor (which is rare) or a wiring problem.

Without actually using a scan tool to watch the sensor and see what it is really doing you are simply guessing.
