B Body Carpet Fitment Question

B Body Carpet Fitment Question - 07/27/17 01:24 AM

Please describe how the carpeting on a 70 B Body runs from the point it leaves the rear of the sill scuff plates to the point it is hidden under the rear seat bottom.
Does it ride under the windlace?
Does it ride under the quarter interior panel?

Bonus points for a photo.
Thanks

Not exactly original..but it's a 70 Charger. I would guess the door panel is not original.

Again a Charger pic here not sure if Coronets use this same trim. I believe there is one screw hole in the trim just under the rear seat and the part under the sill has an open end.

There should be a sill plate extension between the sill plate and the rear seat. In the pic below, I am not sure if it is installed correctly or not. The plates are LH and RH specific but are an L shape, so can be installed with the long or short part of the L down depending which side of the car it is.

The extensions are reproduced if you do not have them.

If anyone knows which way is correct/original, please chime in. I have tried them both ways on my car and neither one looks right to me. shruggy

I see in the pic above it is installed the same as my pic, so perhaps that is correct.

Hey, all three of you guys, THANK YOU for the photos! I do have the extensions. Completely forgot about them. Easy peazy!
