tablespoon of motor oil in my air cleaner assembly

tablespoon of motor oil in my air cleaner assembly - 07/06/17 05:56 PM

Pulled the air cleaner on my 2 barrel 318 68 D100 and there was a table spoon or so of newer looking motor oil in the base. Did I start it too soon after the previous change? indication of something else?

Thanks!

Hmm... just seemed wierd as it has never happened and it was newer looking oil (as in not dark in color...)

Thanks!

Clean it out, change the pcv valve and make sure the breather is clear and try it out again. If it's not using oil, it may not be a big concern.

I like the new breather, PVC valve idea. The PVC valve may be mis functioning. Clogged, broken spring within, what ever. It could be causing an issue.
