Polished Trim Rings P\N 3461043 - Where can I buy a set - 03/30/17 06:44 PM

Does anyone know of a vendor reproducing an accurate reproduction of the Mopar, 15” X 7” X 3” Polished Trim Ring, P/N 3461043? I have a 1970 model vehicle and that Trim Ring that is a full 3” wide, not 2.75” as some of the later Chrysler produced trim rings were, with ironically, the same part number. All of the repro Polished trim rings I’ve seen advertised (some advertised as 3” wide) were the narrower 2.75 inches wide variety. I currently have a set of “mint” Brushed Trim rings on my car, P/N 3461222 that I would trade, with cash, for a “mint” set of Polished Trim Rings if someone knew someone that would be interested. However, I would prefer a brand new set of trim rings if anyone knows a vendor selling the correct trim ring.

No correct reproductions at this time. Wheel Vintiques has a close but no cigar repop that is the full 3.0". Plenty good for a driver but not for a show poodle.

Your best and cheapest bet is to polish what you have.

That's an option but the brushed ones are harder to find than the polished. So, I would be patient. It's easier to brush than polish.... grin

The brushed are harder to find than the polished? I would gladly trade my set of brused for a comparable set of polished (and $) if anyone out there has a set that they would trade? Can be texed at 636.751.9540 if any takers.

It is very hard to find a nice set of trim rings to fit 15X7s. There are a few that can take and repair a damaged set of rings and then polish them to a mirror finish like on the 70s. I have a set of repaired rings. Putting the brushed look back on is just another part in the process. Try to gather up 4 nice used rings that can be repaired and have someone redo them if you do not have that talent. If you only have four rings I would think you might want to keep them as back ups in case a curb gets rubbed.

I was just thinking that if polished rings were not available for purchase, I could entice someone here that may have a mint polished set to trade for my mint brushed set (enticed by some cash) if they needed a brushed set to match their build sheet, or if it was of no consequence whether they had polished or brushed trim rings on their Mopar. My deal is I'm trying to bring my car into line with the build sheet which calls out for polished trim rings. Still hoping for a trade before I consider having my brushed rings polished.
