Red Boot On Hemi Coil Wire?

Anyone have few original pictures, or confirm if all Hemi motors had a Red boot on the the coil wire connected to the distributor, or was this specific to certain years

Here's a 71 survivor example, they were all the same, all 66-71 Street Hemis had them (only the date code changed on the wire). Most wires differed as well having white script rather than yellow. The boots were often so dark from aging that you can't see the red, they look nearly black until removed to you look at the inside.

Here's a 70 dated example for a small block, it has the white script and a red (but very dark) boot

Was there Red boots on both ends of coil wire, or just distributor side?

The top one in the picture is from a seldom seen set of Chrysler Canada Ltd wires from the Windsor plant ( shown here with the more common US Chrysler Corporation wires )

What was the reasoning for the red boot?

Does anybody offer them?

So the production line guys would know which end of the wire goes to the distributor cap. There's a difference in the size of the coil tower and the cap tower, coil is larger.
