1969 Dart GTS 340 Vert

Hello Everyone,

I just brought 69 Dart GTS 340 Vert, and just found out that freeze plugs got rust out so needed to replace them but I plan take motor out and clean it up and I notice there is 2 diff color blue and orange engine so also I plan to paint the engine.
Blue or orange which one is correct?

It probably depends on when it was assembled and at which plant, the fender tag has that information on the bottom line
The first five letters and numbers of the VIN tell you which car maker, model of the car, the year model and the sequence number of that car built that day That will be to the far right of the of the bottom line, if you want to list all the others numbers to the left of the VIN # maybe someone who knows can answer your question with that information accurately

This topic has been discussed a lot in the past. The argument for the 1969 340 engine color is usually whether the engines were all turquoise or were some of them painted blue. The fender tag never had engine colors on it. Here is a post from A-bodies Only.
