66 charger blower motor replacement

I have to replace a blower motor in a 1966 charger with no a/c. It looks to me like the heater box has to come out to change it. Can anyone that has done it before confirm if the heater box has to come out or not? Thanks

Box comes out to do this. Remove console so box will pass by without breaking anything.
