Can't get belts off alternator

I've removed bolt 1 and loosened bolt 3 in the attached picture. I pushed the alternator towards the engine but it doesn't go far enough to get the belts off. How do I get those belts off?

Remove bolt #3 completely. Remove the belts from the largest pulley first, they will come off easier than the small diameter alternator pulley.

Take bolt three out and see if it'll swing in far enough.

If that doesn't work take bolt one out and see if you can push the alternator in enough.

If that doesn't work, cut the belts off and get the right sized ones.

Loosening bolt 1 almost all the way did it. It appears the fuel hose from the fuel filter to the carburetor was between the alternator and the engine making it hard to get the belts off. Should that hose be in that location? I'm removing the alternator to get to the fuel pump and filter to replace them.
