4 speed reverse plug

Hey Guys ! Just wondering if any body knows what size plug I need to replace the reverse plug/ switch on my Mopar 4 speed.....have a new one coming but in the mean time I just want to plug it off !! Thanks !

The terminals on the back-up lite switch are 0.25" tab male, so just use the mating in-line 0.25" tab female connectors, available everywhere. Note there is no polarity to the switch's (2) terminals.

I think he's looking for the thread size on the switch so he can install a brass plug or something.

Probably be better off using the old switch to keep the hole plugged. It's not a pipe thread that you could just thread anything into...needs a seal (as the original switches use) to seal it up and seat against.

I know but I assume his is broken to the point that it's leaking

So it's not a pipe thread. Take out the switch and go to the hardware store and see if you can find the shortest bolt in the same thread as possible. It probably does not exist. If it does you'll need an O ring or a brass copper crush washer to seal it.

Too long of a bolt will interfere with the shift mechanism

IIRC, the switch thread is 9/16"-18....same as #6 AN.
