440 six pack shorty plugs - 03/06/16 03:23 PM

I just dropped a 440 six pack in a 74 Challenger. Forgot about the tight spark plug vs header fit. What is the correct short spark plug and any advice on a wire set would help. It is a pump gas build street strip Farm Car deal. Patina everywhere but should run good.

Promaxx 9440 from Jegs. 84cc since this was an RV motor with low compression.

those heads probably need a 3/4" reach plug vs an iron head 3/8" reach. if so, go down to wal-mart and grab some autolite 3924's.

Better get'em fast, in my area Walmart is blowing out most of the less expensive spark plugs.

Here are the Accel shorty plugs that fit most aftermarket aluminum heads.

those heads are edelbrock clones and will have to have a 3/4" reach plug.

Your right. Correct shorty plugs here tomorrow. Now the thing will only idle with toothpicks stuck in vertical air bleeds on center carb. I have printed the 6P tuning write up so fine tuning in the morning. Cam and headers must not like stock settings. Thanks Phish
