H440 HP2 motor - Moparts Forums

H440 HP2 motor - 01/20/16 08:45 PM

I have a 72 440 standard bore motor that I picked up about a year or so ago. The number on the side of the oil pan rail is 2D055147 or 2D551447 the stamping is very poor. Can someone please advise on what kind of car this may have come out of? I will post a picture soon of the stamping

D plant is a c-body

1972 C-bodies were that plant. The VIN sequence sounds pretty high though?

Looks like a faint 2 if front of the 55

Looks like a C-body cop car{polara}out of the Belvidere Il plant!
