Manual steering boxes..Just going to throw this out there... - 12/14/15 03:18 PM

I recently removed a manual box from a 63 330...and also had one laying around from a 70 Dart.
When positioned side by side you can see the differences in the A body to B body Pitman arms.
Thought someone may need this to identify them someday... twocents
I don't know what someone was trying to do with the welded up A body pitman arm but the height is what I was trying to check... shruggy

I bet they cut/weld the end to flip the stud going into the center link on A-body.

on my 68dart the center link sat on top and in my 73 duster it hung from the bottom.

67 idler is a different in the way it bolts up.

when I combind the 68 /6 steering linkage with the 73 k frame/disc brake/spindles, I had to use the 68 pitman/idler/center link with the inner outer tie rods/LCA/strut rods from the 73.

I had thought about cutting/welding mine up like that but figured I had better not.

Good info, thanks for posting. EDIT what scratchn said, likely they were using a 73-76 centerlink. I sure hope the guy was a top notch welder!
