Continental Torque Coverter - 12/04/15 10:38 PM

I am getting ready to install an 11" Hemi style converter into my Roadrunner built by Continental Converters out of Southern CA. Anyone have any experience with this company? Do they make quality products? I've used Turbo Action and Dynamic with great results, this unit, however, has been sitting around unused and 11" cores are getting hard to come by.

Continental is all a local engine/transmission builder uses. He "swears" by them, he came in 2nd in Div. 7 Super Pro this year. These all have a Continental Converter in them, I've worked on and/or driven them - I have no complaints!

Continental use to build wholesale only for a bunch of different racing tranny companys(Turbo action, Fairbanks, A 1, Pro Trans, Mikes Trans. and some others I'm not remebering correctly now) one of the local L.A. street racers knew people that worked thier and found out that if they went thier near quitting time with a large amount of cash they could buy one from that person, if they knew who to approach devil) before they bought thier own equiptment and trained thier own employee on how to make a good racing converters. Somewhere in my past racing career I found out about them and started having them build my converters, Chris is the current owner(he has owned it around 20+ yrs now) and he tends to build very conservative converters that are perfect for most street racers, I've had to lean on him sometimes to get him to make a higher stall drag racing only converter shruggy BTW, I've owned a bunch of different brand converters, in my racing career, some good and some bad, Continental are good up twocents

Kris at Continental is very knowledgable about MOPAR and Pontiac convertors. He works very hard to get them made correctly the first time but if not perfect, he makes them so. A great guy and a great company.
