2014 300 Nav System Speedo Freezes

Because of the position of the steering wheel and my hands when I am in a comfortable driving position, I can't see the analog speedometer. So I rely on the Nav System Speedometer when I am on the highway.

More frequently lately, the speedometer freezes on me. It happened about 25 times during a 100 mile trip yesterday. Once within seconds of restarting.

I noticed that the display format changes also. If I have a destination entered, when the speedo freezes, the time to turn, distance to turn and such will change to elevation and max speed.

When I use the back button on the display and then press the little speedometer, it comes back for a while.

Anyone see this before?

Anyone think that a database update at the dealer will fix this?

sounds more like your system is losing its signal from satellites

The map database will not fix it. However the multiple system software updates that go with the NNG nav system may or may not resolve your issues. It can be a satellite antenna signal issues or just bad software design.

How can you not see your speedo even in a comfortable driving position?
