Another Auto Painters Question. - 10/16/15 01:25 AM
Seeing more and more cars two toned with gloss black and flat black. Looks really good on some. Question: Are they clear coating the flat black? Everytime I've used it, it will get chalky or turn grey after a while. What is being used? I'm thinking of Rustoleum.

it depends on what you are looking for and type of paint you want to use.
there is single flat stage black.
there is also pre flattened clear coat.
there is also the old standby lacquer flattened single stage.
or you could use some plasti dip for a temporary paint job in flattened colors.
there is also wax or something like it for flattened paint to keep it looking good.

Hot Rod Black Did the frame on my Deuce with this stuff and it stands up well and looks killer. Easy to use as its a single stage Urethane.
