Picked up a 727 trans today and was wondering if there is any way to tell what it came from and what year from the numbers on the pan rail.
PK 801543J 2273 0015. Thanks in advance, Bob

My starting guess

PK: Kokomo plant
801543J: part number that may actually be 2801543, 1967-68 383-2
2273: build date (10,000 day calendar) Wednesday, October 18 1967
0015: daily sequence
