Victor head pushrod length checking tool - 04/13/15 06:50 PM

I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I am putting together an RB with std port victor heads and Hughes 1.6 rockers. I am going to buy a pushrod measuring tool and get a custom set made but I am unsure of which one to buy.

Should a 8.8-9.8" one be enough length? or is there a chance it will need to be longer then that and I could require 2? I'm probably not handy enough to make my own.

Have you got your cam and lifters yet? You need the lifters because the depth of the cup can vary significantly. Once you have things mocked up you can take a rough measurement of what length of adjustable rod you'll need. Don't waste time making one!

The cam and lifters will be here soon. Good point on the rough measurement I don't know why I didn't think of that. I'll just wait until they get here then try to get close. Thanks!

Where are you located? If you're close enough you could just borrow my checker pushrod ??

Other side of the country in Alberta thanks for the offer though!

I am fine with buying one, I just don't want to buy 2 or 3 due to my dumbness.
