Stealth head plug choice?

I've looked at their site and I can't find anywhere that it mentions it, but do Stealth heads require a longer or shorter plug than stock? I've always run Autolite 85's in big blocks, will they work?

They use a long reach plug just like Eddys.I have an NGK number here I run but Im at 12.5 compression.Rocky

They use a long reach gasketed plug like LA motors.

So call it a 340 plug and go shopping. I use Rockauto to check out plugs.

No, the 85 and 86 are short reach gasketed plugs used on B/RB engines and also on my 318 Poly engine. Threads are approximately 3/8" long.

Look up a 340 plug to get the difference. They have thread length of approximately 3/4", thus are called long reach plugs.

BTW, long reach plugs are much easier to find at your local Walmart than short reach gasketed plugs. For years they were all one would find in an aluminum head.

Why not just grab the correct set from 440 Source. They sell them as well and are the correct ones for their heads....

So 65's are the wrong heat range?

So, order plugs from Nevada when I can pick them up on the way hom3 from work? Seems a bit counterproductive. I did find they had a listing for plugs, but they are under a Source part number, not a Champion #.

have no idea what a "65" is. i use the 3924 and 3926 in my edelbrock heads. easy to find and work fine.

The plugs they sell are the Champion plugs. I get your point but for me when I purchased my heads I threw a set in with the purchase along with the 10 degree locks for the spring retainers. Everything in one check out basket if you catch my drift...cr8crshr/Bill

ok. all i do is big block stuff. a 65 is probably a 13/16" hex and the 3924 is a 5/8" hex. the 5/8" will probably be easier to work with.
