Wasn't that the 3rd generation/series/run of the mould used on the blocks?

Are you refering to the casting number on the side of trhe block 318-3,....if so, it's a truck designated block(although not necessally installed as such) because the crank is a premium 318 forged unit

That would be the one. Actually, this is supposed to be a '71 engine. Claim was it was a steel crank engine. Now that I found that designation, going with it. [came in my pickup] Also has a 6 qt pan on it [not aftermarket].

This spring I am freshening up the engine with maintenance items like a timing chain/gears, water pump, belts, hoses, etc. Ir has 360 J heads and runs really well. Just trying to validate a few things. Thanks for the responses.
