2006 magnum r/t front end rebuild$$$$$ - 04/02/15 04:31 AM

Looking at buying a 2006 magnum R/T for $4000 dollars.Engine and trans is sound. The front end needs balljoints tie rods. The owner claims. It will probably need even more like wheel bearings too. It has 161,000 miles. Do you guys know how much it will cost to rebuild the magnum front end? Just a ballpark figure I need. Seeing if it is worth it in relation to the asking price. Or better to wait for a Magnum with lower miles and better shape. I'm trying to decide. Thanks

You should be able to find the parts prices on the Rock Auto site.

Try prime choice auto parts , looks like SRT stuff .About $250 shipped for whole kit.The parts I seen looked identical to the factory stuff we replaced .http://www.primechoiceautoparts.com/

I am wondering how much for inner /outer tie rods. upper/lower ball joints and control arms will cost if say a dealer did it. Do you need a spring compressor? I might try myself.

I'm going to be replacing all the ball joints, which requires replacing the entire upper control arm and the front torque strut. The parts look to be about $400 total. My "friendly" shop nearby said around $1000 for them to get the parts and put them in. I'll be doing it for much less.
