68 vs 69 Dart door latches - 01/04/15 12:10 AM

What's the difference between 68/69 door latches. I need a new or good used pair for my 69. I know the doors themselves are different with the location of the lock knob inside. No one seems to reproduce the 69 units, only the 68. Will they work, or am I stuck finding a used set? What about 70-up?

Not quite sure what you are asking. Are you talking about the latch assembly INSIDE the door? 69-72 should be identical. I recently put the guts from a 69 door inside a 70 door with no issues.

Correct. The internal door part, not the striker pin on the jamb. All I can find for repro is 68, and was wondering what the difference was besides interior door lock position

I didn't think there was a difference in the latch itself.
I think I took apart about 7 different doors to come up with everything nice for the Dart. I know there was a pivot located forward and up from the latch on the inner structure of the door to relocate the lock knob forward. Other than that I don't remember anything else being different.
