I'm. 6/4 and don't really want to,alter the floor pan......has anyone ever tried to extend seat tracks? If so can you advise? I have a 73 Dart Sport.

The studs that hold the tracks to the floor can be moved , they are carriage type and there should be a hole forward of their current mounting that will allow you to move the seat rearward.
Bench or bucket ?

It's fairly easy to fab up some brackets to move the seat back several inches. Here's a write up I did a few years ago over at the SlantSix forum (btw, I'm 6'7"):

Here's some universal brackets. Moves the seat 1.5" to 2" (not enough for someone 6'7"
).
