In Phoenix there's a guy advertising custom crank grinding called Kadrie's Kranks. I've spoken to him a couple of times about some odd jobs, never actually did any business with the guy. Anyone else ever visit or buy?

Marine Crankshafts, mild to wild on most any racing or stock cranks David is the owner, he worked for Sonny Bryant, Bryant Racing Crankshafts, for many years before opening his own shop. His work ethics and quality control are outstanding in my humble opinion I had a crankshaft that was hurt, Crower 4.25 stroke old top fuel crank with center counterweighrs and Mopar rod journal sizes. The motor broke number 1 rod and hurt that journal more than a little, I had him mag and then repair that journal as well as offset grind all the rod journals to 2.200 rod size and increase the stroke to 4.375 His shop is in Santa Ana, CA 714-549-2388

This is who I have repair my bryant cranks. web page

This place has been in business around here forever, although I don't recommend them.
web page

There's another shop I used for my street cars here in Delhi Ohio, suburb of Cincy. I can't think of his name as he flys under the radar. Matter of fact I'm pretty sure all the local shops around here use him to grind there cranks, maybe even Don's.

I use Mark Schaefer at Belleville Automotive. Mark has lots of circle track experience as well as drag, street and stock applications. I am not sure if Mullins in Mt.Olive does cranks, but I know a lot of circle track people use their machine shop services. Sorry I can't make it to the reunion this year Martin, schedule conflict. Your efforts are genuinely appreciated.

I've seen his ad's on the Phx. Craigslist, many many times no I did not use him.

Chucks Speed Center took care of mine but they send them out to another local machinist. Used to have the machine but it was too much hassle the shop manager told me.
They did all the other block and head work in-house. Tim did most of it

Why not be more upfront about it ??

Most think your intentions were to find a crank grinder, not for sales leads....

Whats next here...you gonna ask if anyone knows any well-to-do senior citizens that you can call on for a can't miss investment opportunity ?

Tim Tucker at W.C. Scarborough's engine rebuilding in Bishopville, SC, turns cranks. Does VERY nice work too...he's a perfectionist. Some of the cup teams from around Charlotte send him cranks to grind. I've seen several cranks from DEI in there.

Your real funny, there I kept it nice.
Now go away and think about what you can do to contribute to this board instead of trying to get a reaction out of people and myself.
This is the question and answer section. My original post states Who is grinding crankshafts in your area, I did not say I was looking to get a crankshaft ground. You stated most think my intentions were to try to get one ground, you must be the most thinks part of it as people are doing what I asked for by contributing info as to who is grinding cranks in there area.

Well, I guess it's just me, but looking for sales leads here seems kinda tacky, especially when he's not upfront about it. From the replies, I think most guys are steering him to a good crank grinder, not giving out info on who to call on for sales.

Thanks for the reply Gary, just as I'm happy to take the time and help others as well thats what this board is about helping people. I have done my fair share of helping if not more than the average user to help people with the knowledge I have with cars and engines. Its not TACKY at all to ask for people to contribute or help with what they know. I'm the National Sales Manager for Automotive Aftermarket Radiac Abrasives. I work with many aftermarket engine rebuilders ie Jasper Engines, AER Dallas etc along with Cam grinders like Comp Cams, Bullett, Crower, Howards, furthermore crank grinders like Scat, Winberg, Crower, Eagle and others and contribute to this forum frequently. I forward info that I have learned over the years to moparts members on this board. You should not be trying to belittle me or anyone else on this board. If there was an issue the MODS would have identifed it and deleted the post. My post helps both ways meaning members are forwarding info not only to me but to other members on where they send there work. I have 5,500 shops in my data base. If a member asked me who was in there area for crank grinding, cam grinding or head rebuilding I can refer them to someone and give references to quality shops. 6 Pack Runner I'll be nice again and only think it and not say anything

The term "dog in the manger" comes to mind. Jealousy is the least attractive emotion.

I got something out of it, and I don't mind data mining as long as it serves the common good.

Seems to me there are folks who have nothing better to do than to suspiciously scrutinize every post.

What are you afraid of?

Does it bother you that some people have millions and you don't? Do you have to wear a mouthpiece because you're grinding your teeth each night thinking of those other people who have it better than you do?

It's a much happier life when one is pleased with others' success.
