My '67 has dealer installed chrome valve covers, but doesn't have correct PCV valve.. I don't think it would have been one of those white plastic ones ??

Correct valve is steel....However, I am under the impression that there will be no grommet, rather the valve is fitted into a steel cap that pushes onto the valve cover like the breather does.

1968 had a grommet and used the steel valve.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

1967 is the same as 1968
pretty sure the last year for the cap style was 1965 ( except Hemi which was 1969 )

as an fyi, the 1969 and older style pcv valve are getting tougher and tougher to find. I have about a half dozen ( none are for sale )

I think this Dorman grommet from their Help! line might work.

I know the set up you have as my car has it too

The PC valve itself isn't really a "wear item", so if it rattles it doesn't need replacing.

If you are going for "authenticity", then the steel PC valve is the one to get. If you're not concerned with looks, then get this Standard Motor Products V180 PCV Valve and save yourself some $

I have one on my car, it fits and works fine.
