A-Body Center Speaker Installation

What retains the center speaker under the dash on a Duster? The manual says to get access to the speaker, remove the grill, but the grill is punched into the sheet metal. Are there brackets attached to the defroster vents?

There are screws around the perimeter like any car speaker, but just take your glovebox out and go in from the side with a stubby screwdriver.
