E Body Heater Control Panel

Hi. I'm going to be repainting my heater control panel ('70 Challenger with a Ralley). Is the lettering supposed to be white or silver? I've seen both. Thanks

The lettering is white and the "surround" trim was originally chrome vacuum plated. But a good quality paint pen is an inexpensive alternative.
