Chrysler mini van cooling fans? - 06/29/14 02:53 PM

Wife drives a 2006 Chryser town & country. Yesterday she asks me what's that noise? I went out and discovered the cooling fans were going on & off. Engine was cool. Killed the battery overnight, put battery charger on this morning. Fans started going on and off again. Also have a p0480 code. What do I check to correct?

sounds like one of the fan relays are shorted out.

Have the battery fully charged and carbon pile tested. Minivan electronics do weird things when the battery is about to die.

relay stuck, they are usually mounted on the drivers side rad support in front of the air filter box down below..

Finally found it, had to partially remove grille. Is there any way to test it?
