67 Coronet Auto trans.(Console) shifter button problem

I can't seem to get my transmission button to allow me to shift into park. Is it just a simple fix? Thanks, Greg

A I think you can adjust it by screwing it up or down.

Yup,loosen set screw and turn the knob. Center button will therad on&off cable at the same time. Don't twist it down too tight or you can break the plastic center button pretty easily.damhik.
