Local source for 68 B body headpipe?

Local source for 68 B body headpipe? - 06/08/14 07:18 PM

Does anyone know if there is a local source like napa or oreillys that carries the headpipe for the big block stock exhaust manifold headpipe (from exhaust manifold to muffler) for a 68 Charger.

I believe NAPA still sells Walker Exhaust. You'll probably need to order them. I got the
2-1/2" set manifold back H pipe from TTI. very nice fit and quality

I don't think Walker makes anything for the old mopars anymore.

I will need exhaust for a 1970 Challenger soon and owner just wants to have it made locally ( friend of mine is mgr. of a Midas so we're just going to take it there.)

I would not use Midas.. Their pipe is barely thicker than tin foil.

Probably your best bet. I've worked at Midas and Meineke. Go for the aluminized pipe. I just cut down the system I installed on my Bee back in '87. The pipes were still solid! A custom dual system was $350 back then. I paid $25 for Walker turbos and 3 sticks of aluminized 2-1/2" pipe. Didn't have a bender available this time so I went with the TTI.
Bring new hangers with you. You will not like what they have. Mufflers too-

Meineke was a better place to work for and had better pipe.

No , they stopped making pipes for muscle car era cars decades ago.

Isn't Accurate Ltd. in your neck of the woods? That would be as local as you would find .
