2012 Chrysler 300 Trans Q:

I just bought a really nice low-miler 2012 Chrysler 300 Limited yesterday & noticed that in reverse, there is a distinct "whine" from the trans. Is this normal?

Also, the car does not have navigation. What would be involved to add this feature? Change out the whole unit in the dash? (would wiring be the same?)

It's about $2,000, pretty sure it's a bolt in deal. Lots of '12's got built w/o nav due to the Tsunami caused parts shortage.

FWIW, the factory part does not have HD radio if that's important to you, might want to look at aftermarket solutions, probably cheaper.
