2001 Durango headlights won't turn on - 03/28/14 06:32 PM
I was going to the store at 6:30AM and I turned on the headlights and nothing. I pulled out the owners manual and found the 2 locations for fuses. I could not find anything that resembles headlight in both fuse locations HELP!!!

Do you have any marker lights? My guess would be the headlight switch is bad.

I just replaced a bad headlight switch on a 98. Marker lights came on, but no headlights.
However, the 00 year uses a different switch.

To add to the confusion, the high beams work, but no low beams.

Check the switch on the column then. If high beams work, then power is getting from the headlight switch to the high/low switch on the column

I know it may sound stupid, but-- Did you verify the bulbs were good? On more then one occasion I have found two bad bulbs. They are so bright one does not notice until they both go out. Kevin

I suppose it couls be the low bulbs, but it is doubful as they were both brighta week ago when I check the lenses for dullness. I have no idea how to check the high/low switch. My other issue my back 3 level neck fusion and (2) 5 level low back surgeries which makes dash work a pain (really stiff and hurts). Oh to be young again!!!
