The 1962 and 1963 M.W. intakes and carbs. use the same part numbers and casting numbers regardless of the H.P. ratings. The 1964 carbs., intakes and camshafts are bigger than the earlier ones and have different part numbers and casting numbers also

That looks like a 1963 with the primarys enlarged to the 1964 sizes Some of the erly 1964 look liked the 1963 also so you need to look at the casting numbers and dates to verify which one it is and when it was cast

Click on the picture link and look at the carb flange to the rear , you can see that the primaries are smaller than the secondaries.

A few things I have picked up.
1. 413 and stage 1 426 intakes have the smaller primaries.
2. Stage 11 intakes have the larger primaries to accept the 3705 carburetors.
3. The stage 111 intake has the larger primaries and where the plenum box intersects with the crossover it does it with a slope or 45* angle rather than the 90* angle of the earlier intakes.
4. Carbs that were installed on the factory cars did not have the numbers stamped. The stamped carbs are over the counter. The 3447 have smaller primaries. 3705 primaries and secondaries are the same size.

There are two different casting numbers, the 1962 and 1963.The 1964 should have a different casting number on it As already stated the very rare 1963 Stage 2 intake where 1963 casting opended up at the factory for the bigger 3705 carbs.

Ok all I can see is 2402726-1 ?? The carbs at the base where the numbers go , one has a 1 and the other is a 2 That's all ????

Danny,I have to disagree with you on the carb number stampings at least the 3447.My 3447's are original O.E.M. installed, stamped and dated C1 and C3.Any O.E.M. 3705 I have had were not.

Bill most of my experience has been with the 3705's. My no part number information came from Joe Smith. That along with the fact that I have never seen an auto supply carburetor without a part number formed my opinion. You could very well be right.

I remember buying some 3705 from JC Whitney for around $27.00 each plus shipping of around $3.00, big money back then. Those carbs. came with metal (aluminum I think )tags, not stamp on the pasenger side front corners like my OEM 3447 where

I wanted to disagree too but afraid of starting a dispute. The '63 max wedge I had, came with stamped carbs too.

Were they 3705's or 3447's. Did you buy the car new?

If it was built before June of 63 it would have had stamped 3447's.
