Firewall Hole for 1973 Charger Cruise Control Harness - 01/06/14 07:51 PM

Where, exactly, is the hole located for the cruise control wiring harness in a 1973 B Body? I have to drill this in the right place, the first time! Thanks.

Would suggest checking the Factory Service Manual . . . usually they show a location in there . . .

Cheers

Here's a 74 B body fire wall. It may be one of the holes on the driver's side by the inner fender.

I am not sure on this one, but I doubt you would need to drill in order to pull this through an existing hole. How big of a connector are we talking here?

It would make sense to use a hole near the steering column. This would either be the oval hole that is used for the clutch cable (MT) or plugged (AT) OR the round hole just below and to the right of the brake booster where the speedo cable passes through.

The factory probably had it pinned to the fuse block/bulkhead connector originally so no extra hole but I could be wrong.

All mopars have a hole for the cc harness

There is a grommet as part of the harness.

The hole is the one across from the m-c hole on the right side

The instructions for factory cruise-control kit instruct you to drill a hole using a stamped dimple as the locator.
