water is entering the dash by the vented cowl. Ive replaced windshield wiper pivot gaskets and windshield gasket. When i wash the car, water enters onto the floor. Any way thus can be fixed simply?

You'll need to track the leak backwards to see where it comes from. For one thing, I doubt that seam sealer from that era was meant to last 40+ years. May be coming from the sides of the cowl or bottom corners of the windshield opening. Look at the heater's floor outlets, are they dry? Also look where the heater unit attaches to the cowl chamber.
It's not uncommon for water to enter at the hinge pillars, sometimes at the vent frame seal; there should be some "dum-dum" under the end. In those cases the water usually collects right below on the floor, though.

The wind sheild has to have sealer on the inside and outside of the rubber gasket to seal. Ask me how I know

Because my gasket is just a couple years old and it leaks bad, Going to pull the trim and get it sealed up this winter. When they put it in they used some sealer but not enough. Good Luck on yours

Is the channel jammed with leaves. Run a wire down hole to check. My old firebird did this. I took a sawzall and opened it up! Young and dumb but functional..
