15x10 but what offset/backspace?? - 10/28/13 05:43 PM

Ok, looking into getting some 15x10 for my 69 dart with A body 8 3/4. Getting my mini tub done but not looking into getting my housing narrowed. so my question is.. w what's an offset/ backspace I should go with.

MIne's mini-tubbed, springs moved in 3 1/2ins, I went with 4 1/2in BS, got the wheels from "Wheel SMiths" in Ca.

He also has Ladder bar and coil overs so there is no leaf spring interference.

You really should have measured the axle when the rear was still bolted in place, however all you need to do is measure the axle flange to flange, and measure the cars outer fender lip and do the math.

my 71 dart, mini tubbed, springs moved, 15x10 steel wheels, 7.5"bs, stock width a-body rear. i had to trim the lip on the wheel opening.

Yea I figured that I needed that much spacing.. Just wanted to get setups from others who has it done. Don't have axles yet to set it up and figure it out myself, just ordered my axles from Doctordiff today.

As tires go, think I can stuff a 295 tire in a mini tubbed well?

Make a card board cutout. very easy very cheap. you will have it for life. make the edge of the template where to the simulated rim would mount moveable. just like we used to do back in grade school in art class. i have mine for over 10 years now. you can get even more creative and make it adjustable for tire diameter.

Sweet! much appreciated. I just wanted to find someone who has the setup to know for sure. Saves some time playing arts and crafts.
