HEAD TORQUE SPECS - 09/30/13 01:32 PM

It's been so long that I have forgotten the torque spec on installing a 360 aluminum W2 head. I think it was 75 lbs. Correct?

Depends on what bolt lube you're using. Moly lube with ARP bolts and aluminum heads: 75 ft lbs. After the 1st. torqueing let sit for an hour or so and back off the bolts one turn, one at a time and retorque back to the full 75 ft. lbs. A third time won't hurt. You won't find this advise on the gasket package, but if you call Fel Pro's tech line that's what they'll tell you to do. Not sure about MLS gaskets, but it couldn't hurt.
