I know it's been posted before.. Does anybody know the part number for the Jaguar fan clutch when used w/ mopar viscous fans?? and can one just buy the fan w/o the clutch?

Edit: I guess I'm confused now, you wanted the jag clutch number, but then if I'm reading it right, you only want the fan? No clutch?

No I want the Jag clutch and the Mopar fan.. but I have yet to see a place where you can just buy the fan.

I see, the fan from mopar performance comes with the clutch, you won't need that clutch because you need the shorter shaft Hayden clutch. I used my original fan on the Hayden with no problems, don't you have an original or perhaps you can find a used one?

I might be able to use the MP unit however I'm using a 2 core (and the are much fatter than brass) 26" rad. I want to make sure it fits before I drop $115. Right now I'm running a Summit 18.5" plastic fan and it works great, but I hear I'm leaving 30hp on the table. I have run the MP piece before and on one car (67 coronet w/ a 440) it was too close to the rad... when you slammed on the brakes or took a hard trun the fins would rub the rad.

I honestly don't know if you can run plastic with it. I forget the exact specs but going out on a limb the Hayden clutch leaves you with roughly 1/2" more clearance. And that's basically all I had with no issues, granted I never drove the car hard...

Related question; what's the solution to the VERY limited room to install the Jag clutch to the water pump?
Right now I installed studs (actually long hex set screws) with nuts
but I'm really not filled with confidence with that solution.

I was working on a 67' barracuda at the time I did this, it was Very tight working conditions but was still doable with a short open end wrench if I recall correctly. It will take time w/a few
breaks but it can be done.

If running a shroud, rad & shroud has to be in place or you will NEVER get the assembly back in and over the fan...

If running a shroud, rad & shroud has to be in place or you will NEVER get the assembly back in and over the fan...
yes you'd pull the rad, install clutch and fan and any belts, then lay the shroud over the fan, install rad, move shroud back in place. Done that many times. That's how you pull the rad right? you remove the shroud...push it over the fan and remove it....

The engine is not even in the car yet,
so that's not the problem, it's the very limited space
between the back of the fan and the clutch mounting spider.

I apologize, I didn't try hard enough or smart enough.
Tried again, this time barely starting each bolt into
the pulley, I was able to tighten all 4 bolts
securely....I feel GOOD!!

No I want the Jag clutch and the Mopar fan.. but I have yet to see a place where you can just buy the fan.
I get just a fan from the u-pull, I swap a 7 blade fan on all my junk.
I have found the last 2-7 blade fans on 78-80 AMC hornets, bolts right to the stock 78 truck HAYDEN HD max cooling thermo clutch.
for a 5 blade any 5th ave or dippy would have the fan blade to fit the jag clutch or the mopar viscus clutch.

He has a lot of good stuff, but most is pricey. Not sure i want to drop $200 on a clutch and fan, especially If I can get basically the same thing for $70-80. I guess if I was building a #'s car or show car. This thing just has to get me to the track, run and get me home.
