dana from a truck for an A body

Nothing stock out of a van or truck I have ever heard of will bolt in and fit your car You will need to have one cut down and narrowed and have new axle bearing ends welded onto any of those units. Be careful onthe axle tube diameters, the stock Mopar Car Dan had three inch axle tubes, some of the early Dana 60-1 had 2.5 inch axle tubes Some of the early 3/4 ton trucks had three inch tubes also Some of the later 3/4 to trucks and one ton vans had 3 1/8 and some ahd 3 1/4 inch axle tubes Not so good to work with for narrowing on a stock leaf spring car I would take my time and try and find a good used core that has the gear ratio in it that you wnat, there are a lot of the later model trucks and vans that have 3.54 and 3.73 ratio in them as well as a bunch of 4.10 ratio out there I have bought a bunch of them over the years to use for narrowing, I have found perfectly good units with posi also

Dr.Diff/Cass is great to deal with.
I bought my axles and driveshaft from him.

If you're starting from scratch and have none of the parts for the dana I would just buy a complete one from Dr.Diff.

I had a collection of new parts that I had been collecting for years (gears, power lock, etc.) to start with and in reality it was a royal pain in the rear.
It took 3 different dana 60 housings before I had a good one that I could use.
